The student project competition
On 28 and 29 of September the final stage of the student project competition, created by teams of 2nd year students from different institutes of the Polytechnic University, took place. Over the course of 3 months, the students developed project themes proposed by various organisations as part of the "Fundamentals of Project Activities" curriculum. REM & Coil plant and Electromachine Production Association submitted 18 most relevant tasks, of which 5 were chosen by the student teams. The students assisted in developing a marketing strategy, automated a storage system, developed a device for connecting the ends of damaged copper wire and suggested options for using leftover copper wire.
The organisers of the student project competition selected about 40 best works in 4 categories: engineering, IT, organisational and creative. Aleksandr Novikov, General Director of REM & Coil Ltd. and Ekaterina Sukhanova, Head of the Training Department, took part in the evaluation of the submitted projects for the second time, this time in the categories of organisational and creative projects. REM & Coil awarded the top 2 teams with gifts (powerbanks and Parker pens) as well as diplomas entitling them to paid internships after their 3rd year.
One of the most interesting projects in the Organisational Projects category was the "Development of an educational course for teachers on working in Microsoft Teams", a project led by Angelina Bigishieva from the women's group, while the second project in the Creative Projects category, "Corporate Identity of the Student Office", was presented by Ekaterina Grinchiy, project leader.
